With proper car and use, your Leaf battery can last for 100,000 miles and longer, even in southern climates.
The #1 thing to avoid is multiple DC fast charges in the same day (i.e. road tripping). Especially in the South. Your 220V home charger (or 110v) is not the problem, and will not introduce an extraordinary amount of heat into your battery, but the public DC fast charges will. Multiple same day DC fast charges will degrade your Leaf battery, especially in the South.
The #2 thing to avoid is any DC fast charging. One is a day, especially a cooler or cold day, won't lead to rapid degradation, but it won't improve your battery's life either.
The #3 item is to keep you battery charged below 80% and above 20% whenever possible. This item is however a distant 3rd place relative to the first two items on this list.
Since the Leaf battery is radiant cooled, it doesn't like heat. Avoid DC fast charging whenever possible, especially in warm weather climates.
Also, when you have a new battery, that first 6-8% State of Health is going to decline much more quickly than the next 15% State of Health. Don't worry too much that you new battery is already at 92% SoH, its going to settle in a stay above 80% for quite a long time, especially the latest 40kWh and 62kWh batteries.
